Delaying gratification...reading this article gave me a eureka. Before having my first born, I was the procrastination king. I agree, I too wanted perfect outcomes withe everything I needed to get done. But with the baby in my life, many of my priorities have been set for me. Not only that but it has sparked my motivation engine and cleared my vision. I find it a bit easier to focus on those critical tasks in the now and those low hanging fruits in the near future. Lesson for me I actually needed a catalyst to clear my foggy priority vision.
This is a great post. I used to apply this to my work week - schedule everything, not just work but also play. Worked for awhile and then I think it fell apart when the job tanked and I was disgruntled. Now that I'm working at a better place should re-apply it. Thanks for the reminder!
